VAR overturns, by club

Overturns only, not every VAR check. A VAR review that confirms the on-field decision usually leaves no visible event, so this is the record of interventions — measured against the published 2023-24 tracker it reconciles club by club, all twenty within two. What it cannot show is how often VAR looked and agreed. An on-field decision corrected before it affected the result — not a decision the panel ruled wrong. That record is the confirmed-error ledger, and the two are never summed. League-wide VAR disallows about 4.2 goals for every one it awards, so a long disallowed column mostly reflects that, not a club's luck. Goal decisions are also mostly the assistant's — around four in five turn on offside or the ball being out — which is why the referee pages carry only the penalties and cards. Method →
